National Jazz Award Hat Trick

Jodi was awarded Bassist of the Year at the 2008 National Jazz Awards. Her group, the Jodi Proznick Quartet, which features pianist Tilden Webb, drummer Jesse Cahill and tenor saxophonist Steve Kaldestad, was awarded the Acoustic Group of the year and their album Foundations (Cellarlive) was given of the Album of the Year honour. Thank you to all voted for us!

The Jodi Proznick Quartet album, Foundations was also nominated for a 2008 Juno Award for Best Traditional Jazz Album. The group performed at the Beat Niq in Calgary, Alberta as part of Junofest 2008.

Jazz Festival Tour 2008 with The Joel Haynes Trio featuring Seamus Blake

Jodi will be touring across Canada this summer to celebrate the latest Joel Haynes Trio release on Cellar Live. Look out for us in Edmonton, Victoria, Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. The new album Transitions will be available in June 2008 at www.cellarlive.com.

Jodi and her pianist husband Tilden Webb were featured in the November 2007 edition of Coda Magazine.

Foundations on the U.S. Charts

We released our CD "Foundations" in the US at the beginning of the year. It debuted at #49 on the Jazz Week charts and sat in the top 30 for well over 2 months reaching as high as #13.
